Valeria Arellano is the founder of Afortunada Mente (“Lucky Mind” in English), a social business that promotes financial education through fun. Also, she is the creator of a board game that trains children and adults in social entrepreneurship, finance, and socioemotional skills. She has won 6 international prizes, including three prizes at the Social Business Creation 2018 and one prize at the International Business Learning Games Competition. She has helped +50,000 families through online courses and her board game in +200 schools working with the Secretary of Education, the Mexican Senate, and other public organizations in Mexico. An SBC coach, judge, and coordinator for Mexico, Valeria works in synergy with public policymakers such as The Senate, and the Secretary of Finance, Education, and Economy in Mexico, to increase social impact. OECD has published her social business as an innovation in public policy.
