About

Đoàn Thanh Hải has been working in the social enterprise field since 2012 and has gathered experience in various aspects of the social enterprise ecosystem, including impact measurement, social business incubation, mainstreaming social innovation in higher education, impact investment, policy advocacy, and public awareness on social enterprises. From 2018 until now, Hai has been managing the Society Program of the British Council in Vietnam, which has focused on promoting social enterprise since 2009 and currently mainstreaming the Active Citizens Social Entrepreneurship program in universities across Vietnam. Previously, she worked as a project manager for Social Innovation Incubation Platform and as a consultant for other projects of the Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP). From 2012 to 2014, Hai worked as Hanoi manager of Thrive fund, giving free-interest loans for SMEs and promoting SMEs’ social responsibilities. During 2015-2019, Hai was also founder and director of Kids Need Books social enterprise whose mission is to foster reading culture for children in Vietnam by running a community library and weekend educational story-time for children.
