Bio

About

Nguyen Duc Vinh is a committed community practitioner, facilitator, trainer, mentor, and coach, providing invaluable support to numerous SMEs, MSMEs, and Cooperatives in Vietnam. With an extensive background spanning over two decades in the development sector, he boasts nearly 20 years of specialized knowledge in crafting training programs, delivering Training of Trainer (TOT) sessions, and offering guidance to local government officials, farmers, and ethnic minorities with limited educational backgrounds. Vinh embarked on his journey as a trainer and mentor in 2002, primarily focusing on providing business development and management counsel to SMEs through the Mekong Private Sector Development Facility program, affiliated with IFC/World Bank. Since then, he has progressively assumed multifaceted roles as a trainer, mentor, and coach for SMEs, MSMEs, and Cooperatives across various projects and initiatives. In 2006, Vinh honed his facilitation skills in Asset-Based and Citizen-Led Development (ABCD) during his studies at the Coady International Institute in Canada. Following his education, he collaborated with fellow alumni to adapt ABCD training manuals for local contexts in Vietnam. Additionally, he collaborated with the Fulbright alumni group to incorporate ABCD principles into startup training modules.

Vinh holds a BSc. in Economics from the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University), and an M.Sc. in Technology and Resources Management from the Cologne University of Applied Science, Germany.

Currently, he is the mentor and coach for Igniting Bootstrapping Entrepreneurship to Young Pioneers Initiative (IBEP) and The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) a global initiative to empower women entrepreneurs.

His aspiration for participating in the SBC Program is to expand his understanding of social business, with the intention of imparting this valuable knowledge in future entrepreneurship training initiatives in Vietnam. He is deeply committed to disseminating these insights to students in the universities and colleges where he currently supports and guides them in launching impact business models through bootstrapping methods.
