My name is Siddharth Ramanan (Sid). I moved to Canada to pursue my master’s in 2022. I am currently pursuing my MBA at HEC Montreal. I am passionate about social business and have always actively contributed to social causes in India. I firmly believe social businesses can solve social problems sustainably faced by communities. I co-founded a social e-commerce portal called Booklane.in in 2019 that implemented a circular economy around educational books, helping students save 70% on educational books and reducing the carbon footprint by reusing and recycling books.

I have professionally worked in Technology consulting for over six years. I have managed projects and accounts, delivering great value to clients. My experience has made me capable of working with various technologies and understanding many platforms. My role involved client-facing, making me suitable for client interactions and presentations.

My overall aim with my MBA is to further my learning about business. I believe SBC strongly aligns with my goals. It will enable me to learn more about creating, operating, and growing social businesses.
