María Josefa Montalvo is a Professor of Economics at Universidad Autonoma Metropilitana (UAM), licenciated in economics at UAM and with posgraduate studies in Economics at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico . She has imparted several classes and seminars about political economy, agricultural economics, macroeconomics and labour economics. Her work involves organizing activities between students and local communities to produce local products, construct greenhouses and orchards. She is also related with different enterprises in the metropolitan zone, such as cooperatives, collective projects and factories. Another activity is researching and analyzing the average labour market conditions related to the environmental impact to find alternatives in solidary social economics.
