The Vietnam textile waste market was valued at USD 842.5 million in 2019 and is projected to reach a value of USD 1,392.3 million by 2026, exhibiting a CAGR of 7.9% during the forecast period (2020-2026). Textile waste is increasingly becoming a major environmental concern worldwide with no efficient solutions available for collection or disposal yet.

CONSUMERS BEHAVIOR CHANGE

The trend of fast fashion becomes gradually saturated as more consumers are aware of the industry as the world’s second-largest polluter. Sustainability-oriented/eco-friendly fashion is forecast to grow among local and foreign brands in Vietnam in the coming time, local insiders have said. Local consumers, especially the youth, have risen seeking as well as willing to pay more for sustainable goods. Nearly 70% of surveyed consumers said that they chose to use eco-friendly products, which save water and electricity, and to separate waste into types as the most common actions to save the environment, according to the survey conducted by Q&Me Vietnam market research.

THE GIFT FROM MOTHERLAND

  • Hemp: is  ecological materials region in Sapa, Ha Giang from the North of Vietnam The fabric obtained could not be more ecological , since the hemp is harvested, defibered, spun and woven by hand
  • Organic cotton represents about 1% of cotton production on Earth. Unlike conventional cotton, organic cotton doesn’t require any chemicals, fertilizers or GMOs. Organic cotton is a non allergenic, soft and comfortable material which is safe for humans and nature.

 

  • 90% of Greencat’s apparel accessories have low impact on the environment. We take advantage of upcycling resource such as cork fabric, recycled polyester and washable paper to create products with high aesthetic value.

  • NATURAL DYES: Hmong hemp is dyed by hand using organic materials like indigo and tea leaves, plants , roots. They are nontoxic and safe for our skin and the planet.
  • COTTON BIO: We develop organic cotton with Muong lady in Hoa Binh province, they use local cotton grown without chemicals, spun by hand, dyed with plants, and woven using ancestral know-how.
