“Empowering “young women in male-dominated society, building inner-strength, self-esteem through community, healing and consulting activities”

Alpha Lady empowers young women aged 15-25 from urban areas in Vietnam by addressing systemic oppression and discrimination. We focus on building inner strength and self-esteem through a supportive community, healing, and consulting activities. Our key activities include 1-on-1 coaching for career and personal development, affirmation podcasts, and the ‘Girls Support Girls’ product line. We uniquely combine interactive workshops with traditional programs, fostering deeper engagement and resilience. By addressing cultural factors and internal mindsets, we help young women overcome societal barriers, promoting gender equality and empowerment.

Vision and Mission of Alpha Lady

Alpha Lady envisions empowering the next generation of young women in Vietnam with inner strength and self-esteem. Our goal is to help each woman embrace her identity to thrive, and overcome societal barriers without fear. Through our innovative products and services, we aim to support 10,000 individuals in our community to pursue their dreams freely, contributing to gender equality advancement in Vietnam. We are dedicated to empowering female adolescents and young women through consulting, education, and community building, promoting self-awareness and self-acceptance, and fostering a supportive environment for their full societal participation.

SDG 5.1 and SDG 5.1.1

Alpha Lady is directly contributing to SDG 5.1 by aiming to reduce the average weekly hours spent by women on household chores and caring for family and children from 20.2 to 15 by 2027. Additionally, Alpha Lady contributes to SDG 5.1.1 by increasing opportunities for women in career advancement, with a goal to raise the percentage of young women in empowering communities from 21% to 25% by 2027. Through knowledge and consulting activities, Alpha Lady helps young women thrive in their careers, directly contributing to these specific targets under Goal 5.

Alpha Lady has established a robust organizational framework to ensure effective value delivery from planning through execution. Collaborating with experts from various Vietnamese universities, we integrate diverse expertise in Business, Design, and Technology. Our management hierarchy spans from strategic planning to senior and operational roles. The Board and three senior managers focus on achieving long-term objectives, enhancing social impact, and promoting an inclusive workplace that prioritizes equality and diversity. Furthermore, our team of 12 execution associates works together on projects, each bringing distinct skills and viewpoints, which fosters a dynamic and innovative work environment.

2.5 Alpha Lady’s Exhibition/Workshop/Talkshow 

  • Alpha Lady’s Exhibition

Alpha Lady’s exhibition showcased a variety of products, including tote bags, cup holders, and our podcast series. The event was a success, with nearly 10 products sold, and effectively engaged a wider audience. It highlighted our commitment to providing practical and empowering resources for women’s empowerment and personal development.

  • Workshop Title “You” 1 

The “You” workshop, centered on drawing postcards, engaged over 30 individuals. This creative event provided participants with a platform to express their creativity while fostering a sense of community and self-expression through art. The workshop was well-received, encouraging participants to explore their artistic abilities in a supportive environment.

  • TalkShow Title “Women’s development career journey”

The “Women’s Development Career Journey” talkshow featured two professional speakers and attracted over 30 participants. This event focused on career growth and empowerment, providing valuable insights and inspiration for women’s professional advancement. Attendees benefited from the speakers’ experiences and advice, fostering a deeper understanding of career development opportunities for women.

2.6 Intellectual Capital

 

 

Alpha Lady’s intellectual property takes the daily presence in social media posts, designs and even within products. They depict the originality and creativity of what “empowering women” could be visualized through by means of communication, and continue to expand to a larger audience day by day.

2.7 Manufactured Capital

Alpha Lady has secured significant manufacturing capital through stakeholder agreements, including venue sponsorships from innovation labs, libraries, and hall rooms. Each event receives 2-3 million VND from the University of Greenwich, along with media support, investments, event support, and donations. While venue sponsorships are in-kind, all other contributions are converted to monetary value.

2.8 Alpha Lady Roadmap 

The Alpha Lady project is an ambitious initiative aimed at empowering young women, with a proposed timeline spanning from 2024 through the first quarter of 2025. The key events outlined in this document include the launch of a dedicated website, series of bimonthly workshops and  a whole new podcast long series. These interactive sessions will empower young women, imparting valuable skills, knowledge, and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
