After getting a Ph.D. degree in Horticulture from Michigan State University in 2018, Dr. Tran Thi Ngoc Diep came back to Vietnam and was assigned as director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer of International University (I.U.) in Ho Chi Minh City, which is of a member of Vietnam National University (VNU-HCM). She is also a head of The Regional Centres of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development in Southern Vietnam (RCE Southern Vietnam), acknowledged by United Nations University. At IU, she facilitates the transfer of sustainable and innovative ideas of I.U. faculty, generated by students, into marketable products and services. She also serves as scientific consultant for Association of Food Transparency (AFT) to support enterprises to improve quality of their food products to meet safety standards.
