(1) My name is Nhi Hoang and I am a co-founder of Food Town and also an enthusiastic English teacher with over 4 years of experience working in Education. I am also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management at Foreign Trade University.
(2) My main goals for the future include expanding my start-up; building a community to help people suffering from mental health issues; launching a website, a YouTube and a Tiktok channel to market my ideas and share my values with the world; acquiring a scholarship to continue with higher education after graduation.
Regarding my core values, I acknowledge 4 things that are the most important to me: Courage, Creativity, Compassion and Authenticity.
(3) Here are my top accomplishments:
– Acquired 8.0 in the IELTS test
– Trained more than 10 students to get from 6.5-8.0 IELTS.
– Successfully raised $4,000 in funds for Food Town within the first year.
– My business idea – Food Town won the championship in 2 business competitions including Vietnam social challenger sunny – SK Foundation and SV Startup – The Ministry of Education and Training.
(4) My motivation to join the SBC community is to raise awareness about sustainability and inspire everyone, especially young people to reduce food waste. Furthermore, my business also provides products to help disadvantaged and underprivileged people to have a better life.
