About

Greetings! I am delighted to introduce myself as a motivated and passionate individual who is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Comparative Culture and Social Entrepreneurship at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul. My core belief is that we should create our own path in life and strive to create positive change in the world. My passion for entrepreneurship and social impact has led me to pursue a career that aligns with my values, and I am eager to make a meaningful impact through my work.

My diverse range of expertise lies in being fluent or advanced in five languages – Kurdish, English, French, Korean, and Arabic. Along with this, I have worked as an Administration and Finance Assistant at an international NGO back in my country, taught and tutored languages, and even started my own online food business from scratch. My ability to adapt to new cultures and languages has helped me in my academic and professional pursuits, and I believe that this skill set is a valuable asset that can help me bring positive change to society.

I strongly resonate with Barack Obama’s quote, “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” This quote motivates me to take action and be the change that I wish to see in the world.

During my time as an Administration and Finance Manager at an NGO, I implemented the idea of opening bank accounts for more than 100 employees to streamline their salary payments, resulting in a more efficient and secure system. Additionally, my experience of starting my own food business from buying groceries to delivering the final product has taught me valuable skills in management, customer service, and operations.

As someone who comes from a developing country, I am acutely aware of the challenges that people face, and it pains me to see the lack of change in various sectors. Therefore, I am driven to make a difference and start from within myself to bring positive change. My motivation to join the SBC Community is to learn and grow, gain new insights and perspectives, and connect with like-minded individuals worldwide who share similar goals and values.
