Mariana Silva Ortega is an Assistant professor at the Department of Naval Engineering at Universidad Veracruzana. She holds a master’s degree in Naval and Oceanic Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo. She teaches at the Faculty of Mechanics and Naval Sciences (FIMCN) of the Universidad Veracruzana (U.V.) and coordinates FIMCN alumni. She is also a coordinator of the Hydrodynamics Academy in the Naval Engineering program. She is a holder of the PRODEP Profile (2018-2020). She participates in the postgraduate program in Applied Engineering of the Universidad Veracruzana which is recognized within the CONACYT quality postgraduate program. She has published articles in Experimental Fluid Dynamics, Fluid-Structure Interaction and Vortex Induced Vibration.
