Bio

About	I am Alvaro Lopez, a 20-year-old entrepreneur in Mexico City who studies a global management degree at Anahuac University. I’ve been creating machines and devices to help social causes since middle school; my first significant achievement with my machines was Tlaloc’s power, a rainwater collector presented in ISTE that won the recognition of Lego and Microsoft Education; after I entered high school, I got interested in MUN and participated in 2019 and 2020 leaving the creation of machines behind, right now, in college, I’ve got the opportunity to create my own start-up company, and I started this new journey by improving Tlaloc. The SBC can help me redesign my invention with the help of other entrepreneurs with the same values as I do, creating a fair and equal world where everyone has the same opportunities and education. I also like to offer my expertise to the community. The shared knowledge in these communities is something I appreciate, and it is a valuable tool that I can use.

Teaching experience

After graduating from high school and starting college, they promoted me to give classes in my previous high school. In 2021 I had the opportunity to begin offering courses of Model United Nations (MUN) in my old middle school while I was in my last year of Highschool; by 2022, we went to the contest LiderA, an intercollegiate contest that Anahuac university makes to give scholarships to the students, and we participated in the MUN category winning first place and recognition of preparation in our first year. By September 2022, we applied to National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) and went in March 2023 and won the prize of excellence (second place), best speakers, and best preparation and writing.
