For centuries Mehndi has been practiced across many cultures and continents to symbolize happiness, love, and prosperity for everyone involved. In Indian weddings Mehndi is applied to brides representing beauty and blessing. Floral designs in Mehndi are shared forms in Arab communities during several different festivals and events, such as Eid. In many African cultures the stylistic representation of Mehndi designs tended to be bold that shared the wearer’s story and power.
