About |
My name is Nguyen Ngoc Hieu (Dr.), from Vietnam. I am deputy director of the business support center in the Hoalac high-tech park at the Hanoi city. We are a government organization. We provide infrastructure and consulting services for technology startups to grow into technology companies. We try to choose projects with green technology, low energy consumption, zero emissions and to create social impacts. I look forward to attending the program to have the opportunity to share my practical experiences as well as learn from experiences and connect with the international community for a common goal of combating climate change and social-economic development.
Last year I was responsible for coordinating the school zero waste project. We carried it out at a number of secondary and high schools in Hanoi. The project is new to our experience, many problems have to be solved, requiring coordination of many teams. But the results really surprised all of us. We receive support from the community, teacher and especially from students and parents. This shows that a problem is difficult, but if it really brings benefits to the community, it will be supported and done by the community.
