At the same time, the environment is also facing a significant increase in waste.Businesses that produce products from fruits and agricultural products often only use the pulp, while the peel is often thrown away, leading to an increase in agricultural waste. However, the demand for Pectin, a substance from fruit peels, from food manufacturing businesses is increasing. With the goal of providing a guaranteed and safe source of food ingredients for consumers, as well as minimizing the amount of agricultural waste discharged into the environment, FlAVIX has proposed an advanced solution: Separating Pectin from dragon fruit peel. At the same time, taking advantage of excess dragon fruit peel after Pectin extraction to produce organic fertilizer not only helps increase crop productivity but also promotes the development of a circular economy.The proposed solutions contribute significantly to protecting the environment by reducing waste, pollution and achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
