Proposal

According to a report by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank, it is estimated that Vietnam wastes nearly 3 billion USD each year because it does not recycle all plastic waste from daily life. Organic waste is estimated to waste more than $30 billion each year when nearly 70% is not recycled. Total annual waste has doubled over the past 15 years and is forecast to rise from 27 million tonnes in 2018 to 54 million tonnes in 2030. It’s time for waste to be seen from the perspective of the garbage economy.

Garbage and recyclables are one of the basic industries of society and are considered an extremely potential market but have not been effectively exploited. The difficulties from the classification of garbage at the source to the story of asynchronous garbage collection and treatment infrastructure make related industries slow to change, not keeping up with the speed of urban development.

Recognizing the potential for development, social responsibility and impact on the living environment. We have built the project “Chú Hỏa” with 3 main goals:

  1. Change the traditional scrap business model in big cities.
  2. Guide waste classification and raise public awareness.
  3. Support disadvantaged groups in society.

We operate with a mission to balance economic interests and community development. Ensure the financial sustainability of the project, deduct a percentage of profits to create positive impacts on the community and the environment.

From the desire to bring this benefit to the community, our organization contributes to the 8th goal of economic growth and creating sustainable jobs for workers. At the same time, this project also supports the 12th goal, which is to build a sustainable production and consumption model.
