“Empowering “young women in male-dominated society, building inner-strength, self-esteem through community, healing and consulting activities”

Alpha Lady empowers young women aged 15-25 from urban areas in Vietnam by addressing systemic oppression and discrimination. We focus on building inner strength and self-esteem through a supportive community, healing, and consulting activities. Our key activities include 1-on-1 coaching for career and personal development, affirmation podcasts, and the ‘Girls Support Girls’ product line. We uniquely combine interactive workshops with traditional programs, fostering deeper engagement and resilience. By addressing cultural factors and internal mindsets, we help young women overcome societal barriers, promoting gender equality and empowerment.

Vision and Mission 

Alpha Lady envisions empowering the next generation of young women in Vietnam with inner strength and self-esteem. Our goal is to help each woman embrace her identity to thrive, and overcome societal barriers without fear. Through our innovative products and services, we aim to support 10,000 individuals in our community to pursue their dreams freely, contributing to gender equality advancement in Vietnam. We are dedicated to empowering female adolescents and young women through consulting, education, and community building, promoting self-awareness and self-acceptance, and fostering a supportive environment for their full societal participation.

 

SDG 5.1 and SDG 5.1.1
Alpha Lady is directly contributing to SDG 5.1 by aiming to reduce the average weekly hours spent by women on household chores and caring for family and children from 20.2 to 15 by 2027. Additionally, Alpha Lady contributes to SDG 5.1.1 by increasing opportunities for women in career advancement, with a goal to raise the percentage of young women in empowering communities from 21% to 25% by 2027. Through knowledge and consulting activities, Alpha Lady helps young women thrive in their careers, directly contributing to these specific targets under Goal 5.

 

OVERVIEW OF BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS

We dissected our business model into the following key criteria that allow anyone reading to understand our workflow, development, and opportunities for investment. If stakeholders find it hard to interpret this table, we suggest selecting any sub-sector before challenging the concept with the 5W1H method. Take our Key Activities as an example; they are developed for the Customer Segment, and have Value Propositions as the backbone while executing the activities through different channels, with the ultimate goal of connecting with customers and providing them with our Key Partners. The same goes for all other parts, thus, stakeholders and customers will see that Alpha Lady’s resources, mission, and deliveries, all share a niche interrelationship.

 

Customer Segments 

Nguyen Ngoc Dan Thanh represents a significant portion of Alpha Lady’s customer base 83% of whom are willing to pay for our products and services. As a 21-year-old female living in Ho Chi Minh City, she balances her studies at Swinburne University and a part-time job as a teaching assistant with an income of 2-3 million VND per month. Thanh values affordable and convenient solutions like our affirmation videos to manage stress and boost her mood. She attends empowerment workshops, motivated by financial independence and the desire to challenge gender norms. Her media consumption includes Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, and Threads.

Alpha Lady offers a comprehensive platform designed to empower young women like Thanh. Through our website and social media channels (FB, IG, Threads), we provide access to affordable programs, podcasts, and complementary products like tote bags and cup holders. Our offline Q&A sessions, workshops, talk shows, and 1-on-1 coaching foster a trusted community, enhance income prospects, and support financial independence. By addressing income inequality and providing budget-friendly mentorship, Alpha Lady helps women explore career pathways, acquire valuable skills, and achieve social mobility, ultimately increasing their purchasing power and easing financial burdens.

Nguyen Hai Yen Nhi, an 18-year-old high school student from a rural area, epitomizes Alpha Lady’s social customer segment. Living with her parents and having no income, she faces significant financial and time constraints, relying on free social media resources. Despite these challenges, she believes that knowledge and skills are crucial for a better future and values collaboration and shared resources. Nhi is motivated by a desire for gender equality, personal development, and connecting with like-minded individuals. She is impacted by societal stereotypes but is driven to enhance her self-awareness and understanding. Her media consumption includes Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, and Threads.

Alpha Lady provides  Nhi with a platform for personal growth and community engagement through our website and social media channels (FB, IG, Threads), complemented by podcasts, tote bags, and cup holders. Our affordable programs, including offline Q&A sessions, workshops, talk shows, and 1-on-1 coaching, expand trusted community support, enhance income prospects, and offer financial relief. By addressing her pain points such as insufficient self-improvement resources, self-uncertainty, and traditional gender roles, Alpha Lady helps her achieve educational advancement, overcome insecurity, and build rounded confidence and self-esteem within a supportive network.

 

Product Presentation/ Solution 

Alpha Lady creates a supportive community where young women can access resources, heal, and develop themselves. Our product solutions include four main offerings: personalized 1-1 coaching, Affirmation Podcasts available on Spotify and our website, complementary products such as tote bags and cup holders, and engaging workshops and talk shows. These initiatives provide young women with the tools and support they need to grow, both personally and professionally. 

Our 1-1 coaching offers tailored guidance, while our Affirmation Podcasts deliver daily inspiration and motivation. Complementary products help reinforce positive messages, and our workshops and talk shows facilitate community engagement and shared learning. By combining individual coaching with community-building events and practical resources, Alpha Lady fosters empowerment and confidence, helping women overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

 

Profitability 

Alpha Lady generate our income based on diverse revenue streams which ensure the long-term sustainability of our venture:

  • Coaching:  One-on-one coaching sessions form the cornerstone of our offering, tailored to customers’ unique needs and delivered within 4-5 transformative sessions.
  • Product sales: Commentary goods are sold through both online and offline channels.
  • Workshop: Besides free sessions to outreach new customers, we also host targeted, high-value workshops and talk shows that require a paid entrance fee.
  • Sponsorship & Crowdfunding: By forging partnerships with like-minded brands and organizations and raising funds from the public, we’re able to generate additional revenue streams.
  • Affiliate marketing: When our clients engage with our affiliate partners through unique tracking links, Alpha Lady earns a commission on the resulting sales or signups.

Learning Curve 

The Alpha Lady project initially prioritized social impact, overlooking finances. Valuable coaching fostered a growth mindset, leading us to strategically integrate financial considerations. We’re actively seeking funding and building a sustainable model, ensuring long-term positive impact for Vietnamese women.
