Social challenge:
Our target social issue is the alarming volume of greenhouse gas emission. According to the WMO, greenhouse gas concentrations reached new heights in 2019. World temperature continues its relentless increase: 2016, 2019 and 2020 are recorded to be the top three warmest years. We strongly believe such a crisis does not solely call for few governments’ attention, instead it requires a worldwide common effort against climate change. Everyone should be concerned by greenhouse effect because it damages the ozone layer and accelerates global warming, which undeniably puts our stable existence at risk. This issue is widespread throughtout Vietnam’s territory, however it has not gained serious concerns from the public, because its essence may seem complex. In Vietnam, the most prominent impact of CO2 emission and global warming takes form of heavy air pollution and increasing frequency of natural disasters such as the 2020 Central Floods which resulted in 233 fatalities and $1.52 billion of damages. Currently, Vietnam’s biggest CO2 discharger is the energy industry, accounting for more than 50% of total volume.
Solution idea:
Our smart emission trading platform helps mitigate climate change through economic incentives. To ensure social impacts, we build products and long-term business plans in accordance with global and governmental orientation and utilize advanced technologies such as blockchain and AI.
