Practical Need and Significance of the Idea
In the aftermath of Covid, as the tourism market gradually recovers and people’s travel needs begin to surge, old problems become increasingly severe, especially overtourism at popular destinations. New trends such as local and sustainable tourism are emerging. Meanwhile, hundreds of monuments are being forgotten, waiting in line for preservation. Therefore, the restoration of these monuments and the development of sustainable, historically and culturally valuable tours at these locations have become more urgent than ever. This not only meets the experiential needs and cultural and historical understanding of locals and tourists, but also contributes to education and fosters love for our homeland and country. This idea emphasizes the preservation and promotion of cultural and historical values while stimulating local economic development.
Content of the Idea
GEM is a project that conserves and utilizes the unique historical and cultural values of ancient villages and forgotten monuments, and develops sustainable tours in the Hanoi region. The first site exploited by GEM is the Hoang Xa Cave Monument, Quoc Oai. The tours will limit the number of guests to ensure quality experiences and are designed to cater to the diverse experiential needs of customers, from visiting historical monuments, learning about culture and Buddhism, to recreational activities and meditation. Through cooperation with local communities and organizations, the tour not only has an educational aspect but also provides opportunities for tourists to connect with nature and seek tranquility, while helping districts like Quoc Oai develop their local economy.
Expected Results
The project is expected to attract a large number of tourists, raise awareness of sustainable tourism, historical and cultural values, and contribute to the socio-economic development in Quoc Oai district. In addition, the project will also create opportunities for local people to have additional jobs and income from tourism activities.
Potential Practical Application
The tour has high potential for application in sustainable tourism development and cultural preservation. This approach encourages community participation, enhances education for the younger generation and tourists about the value of national history and culture.
Outstanding Features of the Idea
This idea stands out with the combination of conservation and tourism development, education and entertainment at monuments that inherently carry the beauty of traditional culture with a poetic, peaceful setting. The tour promises to give tourists a deep appreciation of historical and cultural values through each activity with a limited number of tourists per tour to ensure service quality. Especially, the fact that each visit brings new experiences will make this tour unique and attractive.
