Families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) face significant challenges in accessing resources, information, and support tailored to their needs. These challenges impact not only the immediate well-being and development of the child but also the daily lives and future prospects of both the child and their parents. Parents are affected by stress, anxiety, and feelings of helplessness associated with the lack of adequate resources and support. This need for support and resources continues throughout the child’s formative years, spanning various stages of development. It is imperative to address this problem promptly and comprehensively to ensure that families affected by ASD receive the support they need to thrive.
In response to this need, TEAyudo presents itself as a comprehensive solution designed to support families with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This platform offers a comprehensive approach as it addresses the needs of both parents and affected children. On one hand, parents can access information about ASD, strategies for managing behaviors, and guidance on advocating for their child’s needs within educational and healthcare systems.
On the other hand, TEAyudo also focuses on improving the learning and development of children with ASD through innovative tools and interventions. The application offers a variety of interactive activities, games, and exercises designed to promote the development of essential skills such as communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation. These tools are tailored to the individual needs and preferences of each child, allowing for personalized and engaging learning experiences.
In addition to addressing the specific needs of families affected by ASD, TEAyudo also contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. By providing access to educational resources and tools, TEAyudo contributes to the goal of Quality Education (SDG 4), ensuring that children with ASD receive the necessary support to reach their full potential. By improving the overall well-being of families affected by ASD and providing them with the support and resources necessary to effectively navigate the challenges of raising a child with special needs, TEAyudo also contributes to the goal of Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3). Furthermore, by offering accessible and affordable support services, TEAyudo helps reduce inequalities by ensuring that families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds have access to the resources they need to support their children with ASD, thereby contributing to the goal of Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10).
Whit this project we are going to impact first the peruvian ASD community and then expand to another countries.
