“Tr’Đin Seedling Project” is an environmentally friendly initiative created by Forest Foods Tay Giang, with the aim of seeking support from environmental advocates throughout the globe. The funds will be used for the purpose of planting Tr’Đin trees, a unique species found in the forests of Tay Giang, Quang Nam. The project not only shoulders the mission of conserving the ecosystem, re-greening Tr’Đin forests and restoring water flow, but also aims to increase local production, better the livelihoods of ethnic minority communities, and combat poverty.

Co Tu people in Tay Giang mountainous ward (Quang Nam province) has a special sweetener called Tr’din syrup. It is special because it does not come from the bee or normal palm tree, maple… as we often see. Tr’din syrup is extracted from the resin of a precious tree, the essence of the mountain jungle, that is the tree called Tr’din. Besides, Tr’din trees are also considered medicinal trees because they have many precious medical properties. Tr’din trees also have other names such as mountain Dung Dinh or Moc Ruou trees. They grow well at the height above 1200m above sea level.

For years, Tr’Din trees have naturally grown with a huge amount on Tay Giang mountainous areas. A Tr’Din tree can live up to 40 years and it can be harvested every year without dying. Unfortunately, due to poverty, the locals decided to increase deforestation in these areas to replace these kinds of trees with agricultural products like rice, corn,… Therefore, natural Tr’Din tree areas have been declining in recent years.

Despite the fact that crowdfunding still remains an unpopular fund raising option in Vietnam, achieving certain success from it can really change the whole game for startups as the strength of society can create remarkable impacts. Therefore, Forest Foods decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign prototype. Our goal is to cover the following types of crowdfunding:

Forest Foods has came up with “Uom mam Tr’Din”, a crowdfunding project, which will be used to raise fund planting Tr’Din trees in Tay Giang area. Our aiming supporters are environmental advocates throughout the globe. These are donation reward packs we provide for our donors:

Throughout the campaign, we are prone to be active. We have been trying our best to bring better image, build trust and reputation of not only Forest Foods but also Tr’Din syrup to our customers and partners.
