Trust´stick smart cane

Globally at least 2.2 billion people have vision impairments in which 88.4 million have mid to severe distance vision or blindness, cataract 94 million, 8 million are caused by age-related macular degeneration, 7.7 million caused by glaucoma and 3.9 by diabetic retinopathy.  

With Trust´stick we want to give the blind population the confidence and freedom to walk by themselves in their homes, school or workspace; even new places they haven’t been and most probably need someone that joins them and takes care of them in those new places.

It is made of aluminum, with an ergonomic rubber handle, and a wrist strap. It has proximity sensors and intelligent mapping, which give the user auditory and sensory feedback, warning them of any obstacle, through a vibration system placed on the wrist. For the comfort of the user, it is retractable and only weighs 285 grams. In addition, it allows you to adjust the detection distance according to the physical dimensions of the user. It includes a high capacity rechargeable battery, with autonomy for several days. At Trost’stick, we not only care about the daily life of our users, we also want to give them the assurance that if they find themselves in a situation where they need urgent help, they can do so through the panic button.
