Overall, the perception of customers about the new social mantra is more positive than the old one. And for those who well know and don’t know about Memorii or those who support and do not support the Memorii project, they both know and understand what Memorii do in general.

When it comes to market research, we conduct two types: secondary and primary research, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative methods. Our secondary research sources include UNICEF, WHO, the Vietnam Ministry of Health, and academic research articles accessed through Google Scholar. For primary research, we conducted in-depth interviews with over twenty stakeholders in Vietnam, utilizing Google Meet and face-to-face meetings that lasted between twenty-five and forty minutes each. Additionally, we carried out a comprehensive study of data from more than two hundred online surveys targeted at young people aged 17-26. This analysis helped us identify common patterns and gather crucial information for our product development process.

The data were collected by qualitative and quantitative methods through real cases. In general, the figures above 50% are alarming and should be studied in depth through combining with secondary data from previous researchers and specific cases.

To better understand the social issue at hand, let’s delve into our findings from secondary research, which reveal alarming statistics about female sexuality. Globally, 218 million out of 923 million women of reproductive age in low-income countries lack access to adequate sexual health services. In Vietnam, a staggering 74.1% of individuals are unaware of the importance of condom use during sex. Additionally, at least 777,000 girls under the age of 15 give birth each year worldwide. Moreover, there are over 10 million unintended pregnancies among adolescents aged 15 to 19 in developing countries, highlighting the critical need for improved sexual education and resources.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a significant public health concern, as it not only affects fertility but also contributes to the development of serious illnesses such as cervical cancer. Globally, around 3 million children and adolescents are living with the virus and require lifelong treatment. By 2022, approximately 350,000 women will die from cervical cancer, with about 660,000 new cases anticipated. In Vietnam, cervical cancer is particularly prevalent, ranking as the sixth most common cancer among Vietnamese women, with nearly 4,200 new cases and 2,420 deaths annually.

Even more remarkable is the impact of the lack of medical equipment, treatment conditions and knowledgeable experts, which has left thousands of cases without timely education and treatment.

There are many reasons for these negative impacts. Firstly, family and community factors play a significant role, as outdated and misguided beliefs often lead to deviant behaviours that contribute to the spread of the virus and insufficient prevention efforts. Secondly, government and external factors are crucial, especially in underdeveloped and developing countries where there is a lack of effective policies, resources, and medical equipment needed to disseminate proper knowledge and prevention methods.

To further emphasize the importance of the issue, Memorii conducted a practical survey of 20 subjects including 11 women and 9 men. The results showed that although they had concerns or worries about their health, psychological barriers and lack of knowledge prevented them from having the opportunity to learn more about their healthy bodies.

After discussing Roots Cause, let’s turn our attention to the next section: “UN Goals”.

Like many other businesses, Memorii has a clearly defined mission and vision that is strategically aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Therefore, this solid foundation allows us to develop a vision that ensures focus on achieving their long-term goals. To change misconceptions and increase understanding of reproductive health concerns, both emotional and physical, by acting as a supportive companion (SDG 3 TARGET 3.7-3.3.1). Develop a project towards a society where reproductive health is considered a top priority, where everyone has access and can change misconceptions about reproductive health (TARGET 5.6 OF SGD 5).
